Cry Baby

Break muna tayo sa politics.

It’s draining my strength.
You know how much effort I exert in writing an entry about politics,

A LOT.

Let me put it this way.

We all know how healthy an ampalaya is, right? It’s one of many people’s least favourite food but you are forced to eat it kasi nga it’s very healthy despite its bitter taste.

Ganun ang pulitika sa akin.

Painful but necessary.

LOL

Anyway, what better way to do an extremely opposite entry but to write about

Love.

How did you spend your Valentine?

In my case, I did the usual. Went out for a night, a few drinks with friends, went home and slept.

My post Valentine, I think, however was better.

I did a little movie marathon. Alone.

There’s nothing more torturing than spending your time in a dark room crying.

Yes, I cried.
I watched 4 films, one after the other.

The first two were an old favourite. I’ve seen them before but I managed to convince myself that it might have a different or better ending. I’m talking about “A Walk To Remember” and “If Only”.

In the case of “A Walk To Remember”, I always wish that Jamie (Mandy Moore) will not die of cancer. I wish she becomes a gospel singer and then make records, while Landon (Shane West) will become a successful plastic surgeon, he’ll be repairing the faces of the female cast of Lipstick Jungle. LOL

Meanwhile, in “If Only”, Ian (Tom Nichols) will not die. He’s too handsome to be erased from the face of the earth. Instead, Samantha (Jennifer Love Hewitt) will be the one to die. A painful one. Like falling off a building. Hahaha! I so hate J.Love Hewitt.

Unfortunately, my idea of a ‘better ending’ is never realised. Ganun pa rin ang ending.

Bwiset!

Nasayang na naman ang mga luha ko.

Anymisery, the third film I watched was “The Notebook”.

Ok, I confess.
I have not seen the movie before. I just thought Rachel McAdams will never make a tear fall from my tantalizing eyes. She’s a Mean Girl for chrissakes noh! Unless she steals my boyfriend, malamang yun iiyakan ko ng isang balde.

The movie, like “A Walk To Remember” is also based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks.

So what happened?
Ano pa nga ba, eh ‘di umiyak na naman ako ng sangkaterbang luha.
Juice ko, corny na kung corny but I think “The Notebook” is one helluva tearjerker.

This movie will be placed in my top ten favourite movies of all time. I know I will be watching this again, hoping for a ‘better’ ending too.

Maybe Noah and Allie will grow old healthy, reach more than a hundred years old, have 200 grandchildren but still look like Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams for eye candy. LOL

After 6 hours of crying, I was so emotionally and physically drained.

I needed to recover my sanity. Kung meron pang natitira.

What better way to bring myself back to life than to pop another favourite of mine. This time an old classic. At least in my lifetime. Hahaha!

Then I was back to normal.

And Emily?

That’s all.

Char!

All the movies you mentioned are port of my TOP Ten. Of All Time.

Made me cry all the time, even if I had already watched the movie.

Whats up with that?!

LOL, Devil Wears Prada takes the cake in Fashion movies.

Kudos!

I'm such a sucker for romantic tearjerker movies. And yep, you're right, one would want to have that freaking ending go someother route.

I think that particular period made most romantic movies a bit morbid. A lot of dying. hahaha!

Try watching old political Nazi inspired movies... I recommend I am David and The Hiding Place. hehe. iiyak ka padin dun.

Oh, and lastly, yeah, Mandy should have died, and I would've clapped instead of cried. (naks nag rhyme) hahaha!

Teka wait pala, I saw your blog pic on my site for myblog.com, sabi ko, "bakit naligaw ung Toilet ko sayo?" hahaha!

beaugarte: strange noh, iyakin ka rin kasi tulad ko. hihi

jeszieboy: i think i know why. mwahaha

LOL! =)

Isa sa all time fave ko ang The Devil Wears Prada.
