Domino

A client of ours, a good soul, was killed last week.

She, together with her husband and a friend were on their way to our office in a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding pick up truck.

She died on the spot.

Her husband is still in the hospital. He has a broken leg. As of this time, he has no idea that his wife has already passed away. He thinks she’s in the other room recovering from injuries.

Their companion was also injured but is now out of danger.

The culprit is a drunk driver.

The drunk driver is our parish priest.

Drunk driving is supposed to be a thing of the past.

Kapag kumukuha tayo ng driver’s license, kasali yan sa seminar.

Halos araw-araw nireremind tayo never to drink and drive.

If you drink, don’t drive.

If you drive, don’t drink.

I admit I drink. But fortunately, I don’t drive.

In my circle of friends, when we go out for drinks, the designated driver is always excused from drinking. Magtiis na lang siya sa ice tea or coke. Kapag hindi napigil ang tawag ng alcohol, we prefer to hail a cab than to put ourselves in danger by letting someone na nakainom to drive us home.

Statistics shows that a large percentage of vehicular accidents resulting to death involves alcohol or drunk driving.

Isa itong panawagan sa mga umiinom diyan lalo na sa mga lasenggo or lasengga na nagbabasa ng post na ito.

Please tell your friends and loved ones to never drink and drive.

Please.

Sorry to hear that. It is tragic, and as I've said a couple of days back, drunk driving is not about how well you carry yourself under the influence of alcohol, but how you endanger the lives of other people on the road.

Pari pa mandin. Grabe.

Siege: yeah. The priest actually denied he was drunk kahit na there were witnesses who confirmed it. He surrendered but is now under the custody daw of the bishop. Don't know why.

Herbs: in fairness to him magaling naman siya mag sermon. yun pala siya rin kelangan sermunan. hehe

Joms: a client/friend told me he had inuman with the priest before. lasenggo daw talaga. gosh.

Gram Math: he's not detained or what. he remains under the custody of our bishop.
