Gone Too Soon

Dear Lukas,

I hope you’re happy wherever you are now.

I’m sorry I couldn’t take care of you like I always wanted.

And I am so sorry I wasn’t there when you needed care.

I sometimes blame myself for what happened.

Sana hindi na lang kita kinuha.

You wouldn’t have suffered so much pain.

I’m so sorry.

I will truly miss your energy and love.

I know you are in a happy place now with our Creator.

At least diyan, you will have all the time in heaven and all of eternity as your playground.

No more fences Lukas. No more pain. All joy and happiness. Isn’t that great?

Send my kisses to the cutest angels okay?

I will miss you.

Love,

Mel

Astrogirl

Who is cuter, the model or the cartoon character?

Ako ang model ha, si Astroboy ang cartoon character and not the other way around.

Hahaha!

Tinatanong pa ba yan?

Siyempre, si Astroboy ang mas cute! Kasi ako, hindi ako cute. Pretty ako!

PRETTY!

LOL

Tee from SM Dept. Store Children's section, at a whopping P149.50.

That's all.

Makeover Mishaps

This actually happened months ago but I forgot to write about it.

I’m talking about the recent makeovers done to our favourite cartoon characters Strawberry Shortcake……

and the very popular Dora The Explorer.

This is what Strawberry Shortcake looks like after the makeover.

And this is our beloved Dora The Explorer after the revamp.

First of all, I think the two characters are super duper cute even before somebody/someone decided to mess with their looks.

The new looks are not bad at all actually.

My point is, is it really necessary?

My nieces adore Dora. They have a collection of everything Dora, from backpacks to dolls, stuff toys and musical instruments, books and videos.

LOL

At tingnan niyo ang bagong Strawberry Shortcake, mukhang anorexic. My gosh! Tinalo pa sa kapayatan si Siri Tollerod.

According to the makers of Strawberry Shortcake and Dora the Explorer, they decided to change the looks so that they may also grow like their fans. The girls have matured na daw like their followers.

I say, baloney!

Charing!

These characters are supposed to be timeless.

Like the Disney characters.

Like the Muppets.

Like Tom and Jerry.

They are supposed to remind us that all of us has a child within us. They complete our childhood. They are memories to be treasured.

I always remember my childhood days watching Sesame Street, Ducktales, Batibot and many more.

Kung iibahin ang itsura nila, I won’t remember those precious memories. Makakalimutan ko na rin siguro ang aking years of innocence.

Sigh.

In this time and age, looking thin is not that important anymore.

And most recently, I gained a little weight pero I’m dating more now.

Hindi na uso ang payatot!

P.S.

....but I would love to be thin though. Hahaha!
Peace sa mga tulad kong "healthy".

Choice

Tonight I was supposed to be in the city.

Do a little spending from my hard-earned money.

Buy a little something for myself, eat fast food, hangout with close friends, get drunk and almost wasted.

That was the plan.

……until I watched “Wish Ko Lang” on GMA.

Nakakainis. I felt guilty.

Super guilty.

How am I gonna enjoy the night now when I am so disturbed with what I saw on tv.

Life is so unfair talaga.

Bakit may poor and rich.

Bakit may ugly and beautiful.

Bakit may healthy and sick.

Now I’m having second thoughts. Do I really need it? Haaaay….

Gosh.

Who deserves more, me or sila?

I think I know what to do.

Lost and Found

Hello.

“Do I know you?”

Maybe.

“Who are you?”

Your loverboy.

“Ganun? Which one?”

Marami pala kami?

“Oo naman, sa ganda kong ‘to, it’s not that surprising.”

Ouch, it's me.

"Ah, okay. It's you pala. It's been quite a while. Are you hurt?"

Yes. Sobra.

“Really?"

Tagos sa pancreas.

“Wow, you left me with no clue for almost two years, now ikaw pa ang may lakas ng loob to say that. You’re so unfair.”

I lost my phone and all my contacts.

“I don’t believe you.”

I can’t blame you. I’m sorry.

“Akala ko ako ang may kasalanan. I don’t know why you left. I cried, but you don’t seem to care.

I’m here now, can we just put it in the past?

“I’m not sure. I don’t know.”

Please? I missed you.

“I missed you more.”

Are we back together?

“Of course, we’ve always been friends.”

Okay. So, how are you? I heard you’re pregnant.

“LOL, Is that possible already? It’s the same old boring me, nothing’s changed except my weight.. And I have a blog now.

Really? That’s good.

“I will post something about us.”

“Hahaha, sounds good. Be free to write what your heart and mind wants to. I’m excited to read it.

“Don’t be. Baka you won’t like it. LOL”

Hahaha!

Transcripts from yesterday.

A lost love, now found.

Charing! I’m such a slut noh.

Easy gurl!

Earth Dare

Earth Day pala ngayon?

Gosh. Hindi ko alam.

Kaya pala Earth Day special ang napanuod ko these past days sa mga talk shows and everything. Ang shonga shonga ko talaga.

I thought Earth Day was last month. Nung ginawa natin ang Earth Hour chorva. Honestly, I signed up to be a participant but wasn’t able to do my task because I was on a bus on my way home when that happened. I just texted my friends and practically everyone that I know at work including clients to turn off their lights for an hour. Come to think of it, maybe I did my part during Earth Hour. I was campaigning noh. Hahaha!

Anyway, let’s do an activity my dear 8.5 million readers. LOL

Imagine yourself in the top 5 of the 2009 Miss Universe representing your country, and it’s the question and answer portion.

The question is:

What have you done to make this world a better place to live in?

The best answer gets a kiss from their crushes.

If you don’t want to answer, magiging parents mo si Chip Tsao at si Madame Chantal Biya, at magiging kamukha mo sila!

What would you look like noh?
Hahaha!

Please cooperate. LOL

Xerox

Like me, my friend Ian is photogenic. LOL

Actually, he’s quite good looking in person. He’s a dead ringer for John Lloyd Cruz. In his photos he sometimes look like Jake Cuenca.

Unfortunately his good looks are also a disadvantage.

His photos from his friendster and facebook accounts are used by other people to create bogus accounts not only in those two networking websites that I mentioned but also in Guys4Men, PlanetRomeo, Tag and so on.

A few times when we go out especially on a Saturday night, someone would oddly approach him and introduce themselves as one of his ‘friends’ in those websites. Sometimes he would even get free drinks from those ‘friends’. One time he was approached by an aggressive ‘friend’ and confronted him why he hasn’t kept in touch after a wild webcam session. That shocked us but for Ian, it’s a regular thing already. He then politely answered that he is not the owner of those accounts.

Anyway last weekend, a friend who’s an avid user of PlanetRomeo discovered that another person is using Ian’s photos. I informed Ian and he asked me to send a mail to that poseur. I logged in to that site but unfortunately I wasn’t able to browse or search the user because I was not a registered user. So I registered under the name of my favourite movie character BeatrixKiddo...

And I uploaded a photo of my crush Imran Abbas in the account.

After completing the registration I searched for that poseur's username and left him a message.

When I was about to exit the site, I noticed I have 50plus messages in my inbox.

Naloka ako sa mga messages.

Some of them were asking if I was really the one in the photo. Some were asking for my mobile number. Some were giving their numbers and addresses. One of them is from the US but would go to my location if I would say yes to what he was asking.

And…

Most of the were asking were they could meet me so that we can do ‘the thing’.

LOL

Feeling ko naman ang ganda ganda ko. I’m so in demand! Bwahahaha!

I am so naïve.

Hahaha!

I think it’s so funny but at the same time it actually felt good.

Now I know and understand why poseurs exist. It makes them feel good kasi.

By the way I did not answer any of those messages. I deleted that account after 24 hours. Hihihi

Police Origami

The Quezon City Police District is very "hardworking".

Like a mobile service provider’s slogan, they are “Simply Amazing”.

The case of Trinidad Etong and her husband, veteran news anchor Ted Failon is very hot now.

If this were a case involving commoners, the police would probably yawn over this case but then this involves a very visible celebrity nagkakandarapa ang mga bwiset na pulis na ito para makialam sa kaso.

My gosh, they are chasing Mr. Failon and his household staff like they are wanted for heinous crimes.

P.I. niyo!

Isn’t it obvious that this is a case of domestic problem resulting to the attempted suicide of Mrs. Etong.

May suicide note and everything.

Juice ko, ang daming gustong pumapel.

A lot of people are making epal over this thing.

OA na talaga! Sobrang OA! Tatalunin ang OA meter ni Gretchen Barretto.

Pati news coverage so kaka na. GMA-7 is so biased ha. My gosh. Kacheapan. Why do I sense that they’re putting Mr. Failon in a negative light.

Eto pang isa, itong gurang na Injustice Secretary, pinagdiskitahan si PAO Chief Persida Acosta who’s just doing her job.

Hmmmm…

Bakit maraming nakikialam ngayon?

NBI? Gosh!

I won’t be surprised if makikialam na rin ang Malakanyang one of these days. You know naman Ate Glow, pinapakialaman lahat basta’t puwede siyang umeksena at magkaroon ng opportunity for exposure. I bet it will come in less than 5 days. Hahaha!

Teka, di ba Erap named Mr. Ted Failon as one of his ‘senatoriables’?

Baka mapulitika na naman ito.

Juice ko.

I just pray for the fast recovery of Mrs. Etong.

Update: Mrs. Trina Etong passed away this morning.

Mutation

I got an e-mail from Facebook this morning and it was a ‘friend request’ from a certain girl. So I clicked the link supplied in the mail and saw the picture of an unfamiliar face. I clicked the “Ignore” button.

This time, we already have 4 mutual friends. Aba, at ambilis makapag-friend ng gaga. LOL. I noticed those mutual friends of ours were my classmates in high school.

Hmmmmm… I got curious.

Her name is so unfamiliar. I checked her profile and found out that we went to the same high school and most of her friends were also our schoolmates. I looked closely at her photo and this time I recognised her. She was a year older than me in high school and we were neighbors before. Infact, palagi kaming nagkaka-sabay sa jeep papuntang skul. Hahaha!

Anywhore, I confirmed her as my friend and I dropped a message in her mail apologizing for ignoring her first request.

Ang bait ko talaga. LOL

This networking thing is kinda creepy sometimes noh. You just don’t know who you’ll bump into next time you check your account. And to think pseudonym ang gamit ko in my networking accounts ha pero may nakakakita pa rin sa akin.

By the way, don’t bother looking for me in all those networking chorva, my accounts are so generic and uninteresting. Aantukin kayo. Bwahaha!

Since I was already online, I searched for my crushes’ Facebook and Friendster accounts just out of curiosity. Lahat lahat ng mga men na na-involve sa akin since high school ay nilista ko at iniisa isa kong hinanap.

Some of them were there, and some were not.

In fairness, some are still good-looking, some are already daddies, and some are, hmmmmm, not so edible anymore. Hahaha!

Nakakaloka yung ibang photos nila, especially those who are married already. Juice ko, proud daddies kasi ibinabalandra ang kanilang offsprings and their wives. Yung iba hindi naman kagandahan, they should've settled for me instead. LOL.

Kelangan ba talagang may ganung display of family portraits? So what is your point? Na you’re better people just because you are now raising families? Bwahaha! Bitter noh. Charing!

Sayang din yung si [name of ex-crush], bakit ganun na ang istsura niya, he looks 40ish, and her wife, kamukha ni [name of comedienne here].

Anyway, seriously speaking I feel kinda sad for myself, seeing these people moving forward while I am stuck with my current life. Not that I am unhappy with my current status and I plan to settle down soon (with the right man, yes of course! LOL), it’s just that time flies so fast and you are sometimes caught off guard.

He's married already? Why oh why!

Mga ganung questions that will always remain unanswered. I think.

My memories are still fresh with these same people as we enjoy our youth. Playing in the sun, camping out, making lakwatsa, doing naughty things and etc. I can’t believe that they’re the same people that I am seeing now, responsible parents, achievers, totally grown up.

I, on the other hand, remain the same by heart.

I may look different now because I was a LOT sexier when I was younger, 24 inch waistline and 90 lbs., I am still the same person kahit na 28 inches na ang waistline ko and already plus-sized.

I just hope they see me as the person they want to see when they view me.

The same jolly person that makes them laugh like we used to be in our days.

Sigh.

Back To Normal

I really hate to go back to work after a few days of pleasure and leisure.

Nakakatamad mag work ulet.

That’s the problem of getting used to rest and relaxation kahit ilang araw lang, feeling mo sana ganito na lang palagi but then reality tells you that it isn’t how it works talaga.

You have to go back to your normal life kundi wala kang kakainin.

LOL

Anymisery, I am currently back to my normal routine. Woke up at 6AM, working by 8, brunch by 11, dozing off in the car at 1PM, bank by 2, office again by 4, off to the farm by 5, dinner at 7 and finally sleeping by hmmmmm… 10 maybe?

My sister surprised us during the holy week. She came home but I haven’t saw her yet since I was also out of town. We scheduled to bond this weekend when I get home. I admit I miss her and two days with her is not enough to catch up with what’s going on in our lives. I’m just happy that she and my niece Zoe is spending her two week vacation together.

So, what’s up with you all?

I observed that some blogs are not yet updated ha. I assume nagbakasyon din kayo. Tell me. Share naman diyan and everything!

This is going to be short muna. I have not totally regained strength. I still have hangovers from what we did last week. Juice ko, I think my average sleeping time was just 2 to 3 hours so I need to sleep more.

Goodness, I also gained weight and I have to lose them too. Some photos of me from last week showed bulges and everything I decided not to post them here. LOL
Also, I have sunburns and worst of all, sumobra ang aking tan. Kakulay ko na yata si Lola Oprah. Charing!

Oh siya, matutulog na ang bruha.

Fire Island

For the third time, the girls, Edz, Michael, Unique and I went to the volcanic island of Camiguin for our holy week vacation.

Hindi kasi namin afford ang mag out of the country kaya dito lang kami napadpad. Hahaha!

In fairness, maganda din naman dito. It’s still breath-taking and majestic.

We are currently staying with a very friendly host, the Pabua family.

Very hospitable folks, not to mention good-looking children who also serves as our guide. Like we needed a guide pa ha, but if a gorgeous guy offered himself to be your guide, tatanggi ka pa ba? Mahina lang kami. Hahaha!

Anyway, if it’s your first time in Camiguin, I suggest that you hire a tour guide to assist you in exploring the island. It is also wise to follow their itinerary.

But like us who have been here before, we decided to stray from the usual. One of them was Tuasan Falls. (see photos below)

It is a must see place. Be prepared to hike though. The location is kinda remote and unexplored.

Other must see places are Mantigue Island, Mt. Volcan, and the infamous White Island. Other than those places, I find the other tourist spots, mediocre. LOL

Here are some of our photos.

Enjoy!

Lily Donaldson is dat chu?
LOL

If you plan to visit Camiguin, it is best to come during the Holy Week so that you can also take part in the province’s religious activities/traditions. It is also best to come during the months of April and May.

Reminder: If you want to experience total freedom while in the island, avoid booking yourselves in traditional resort hotels where there are curfews and very strict rules.
We always stay at the cottages provided by the locals. They always make you feel at home. Just be sure there are enough security.
We’re so lucky with the Pabua family. You can reach them through (088)3879033.

That’s all.

Spell FIERCE.

Just minutes after an hour of climbing Mt.Volcan in Camiguin.
More photos to come.

Hate

I’ve written in the past how I hate certain stuff that most of you would disagree.

Like the beach, and the things that go with it, e.g. swimming, sand, and the sun.

Like disco, and everything that goes with it, e.g. sweating and dancing, noise and smoke.

Like being in a crowd, e.g. a concert, assemblies and even parties.

Although midnight sales can have a big crowd, I don’t hate it because it’s therapeutic.

Nothing beats any other therapy than retail therapy.

LOL

Honestly, it’s not that I hate them so much because it would kill me instantly if I engage in those activities, OA na yun.Hahaha!

I just dislike them because I can’t do certain activities that involves the things I mentioned above.

I hate the beach because I can’t swim.

How can you fully enjoy the beauty of such nature when you can’t totally relate to whatever it has to offer you. ‘Di ba?

I hate discos because I can’t dance.

I was born with two left feet, baligtad pa.

How can you enjoy the music and the rhythm when you are too paranoid that you might be noticed because of your lack of dancing skill. Hahaha!

I hate crowds because I’m not a people person. Char!

So gross. Haha! Sa isang concert naman lalo na kung hindi ka nakaupo sa VIP section, or sa isang rock concert where majority of the audience ay nakatayo, hay naku baka may masama pa akong masabi. It’s not just my thing. LOL

Anymisery, that is the one wish that I would want to leave behind after this weekend of soul-searching.

I want to be hate-free.

Okay, medyo mahirap yun na goal ha.

I want to minimize hate in my system.

Mas realistic ang goal na yun.

So much hatred is already present in this world.

I just want to lessen the negative aura by becoming a better person by hating less things, or hating people. Like Chip Tsao or Boyet Fajardo or Mike Arroyo.

Although they deserve to be hated, I leave them to the others na lang. They can have my share of hate.

Into The Fire

I’m getting a little excited.

No, I’m not excited.

Baka kasi hindi matuloy. Hahaha!

The girls and I will be out of town from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday.

May spiritual life din naman kami noh.

At the same time, maganda at masaya din sa pupuntahan namin.

Bon voyage!

I will keep you posted.
