Jaw Logs

My gosh!

It’s the end of the month.

Parang kailan lang nung binati ko kayo ng Happy New Year, but now it’s gonna be July in a few hours. How time flies noh? Which means malapit na rin mag-Pasko. Hahaha!

Anyway, matatapos na ang June pero I haven’t got a copy of Preview’s June issue with Marian Rivera on the cover dressed up like a Barbie doll.

I don’t have a monthly subscription kasi. Malay ko ba kung magkakaubusan pala ng kopya with Marian on the cover.

You know, the ones that would cry if they miss one issue since 1998. In the first place hindi naman kayo nagbabasa palagi ng fashion magazines noh. I’m sure 90% hindi niyo rin kilala ang mga nai-feature na artists and designers sa Preview. Stick lang kayo dun sa usual reads ninyo, like Yes or Buzz perhaps.

Or much better kung aatupagin niyo muna your labada and everything bago niyo buklatin ang binili niyong Preview. Sayang kasi eh.

Hahaha!

'Day, kahit maganda siya 'day... Oh nevermind. Lol. Enough of these rants.

Leche! Makakuha na nga ng subscription!

Yun lang po.

Sana hindi kayo na-umay. LOL

A Change Would Do You Good

I think I'm getting old.

Fast.

I like to sleep early and I wake up very early too, around 6am. Early na ba yun? Oo naman.

After work, I read the newspaper or watch the news.

When I'm home on weekends, I prefer to just stay, manood ng tv or maghilata. Mag-surf or magbasa ng blogs. Rather than go out to party, makipag-inuman hanggang umaga, sometimes to the point of getting 'wasted'.

When a friend would invite me to go out, I always say I'm tired and I want to rest.
Totoo naman. Tinatamad na akong lumabas except for coffee or fastfood.

Time to change na nga ba?

Well...

At least I'm happy with what I'm doing noh.

If they hate it, then say it to my face.
Isa pa, I've enjoyed 'those' times before and I think I've had enough already.

It may be boring to some extent and to others' opinion but I don't care.

I don't need to adjust for other people. I'm the one in-charge with my life.

They need to conform with it.

Kung ayaw nila, hindi ako namimilit.

Maybe it's time that they too should change.

Oops! I just remembered, nauna pala silang mag-morph.

That's why I evolved too.

Hopefully, for the better.

Feels Like Heaven

Yes.

The time has come when my brain stopped functioning.
I think I cannot write for this blog anymore or for any other medium.
As much as I wanted to stay and write more, I could no longer think of anything to share.
This is not a writer’s block. I totally misplaced my brain and could no longer find it.
Your guess is right, I am blog retiring.

Etchos lang!

Of course I’m not retiring. I love sharing a part of my life with you my dear readers. Ilan na ba kayo as of the last canvassing? Hahaha!

Anyway, I was trying to write something here but unfortunately hindi talaga gumagana ang utak ko. I twittered about it and got two responses from Doc Mike na poging-pogi at sa isang bruha na itago natin sa pangalang Mr. Scheez.

Sabi ni Doc Mike, I’m experiencing a writer’s block daw.
Perhaps.
Pero parang ganito naman talaga ako most of the time eh. Minsan I worry if I don’t post a new entry for this blog. Napapraning ako kumbaga. Then all of a sudden an idea would come out and I would grab a piece of paper to write a draft.
Not bad noh?

Like Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett’s death.
Tama!
Itong si Mr. Scheez talaga never fail to amaze me. He has one of the brightest ideas dito sa mundong ibabaw.

LOL. Peace Ate ha. Alam mo naman love kita. Mwah!

Anyway, speaking of the two icons mentioned above, I hope Masaya na sila kung saan man sila ngayon.
He will make music there and make everyone sing and dance.

Meanwhile, naiinis ako sa ilang gossip and showbiz oriented agencies.
Noong buhay pa si MJ ay madalas nila itong lait-laitin dahil sa kanyang hitsura and how oddly he behaves. Some even more below the belt.

Yes, I’m talking about Perez Hilton, DListed and even TMZ.

I’ve read an article from Roy’s blog regarding what Perez originally wrote about MJ, juice ko nakakaloka. Hahaha!

Pasensiya, high blood lang po.

Anyway, tomorrow will be another day at kelangan pa rin natin mag move-on.

As a tribute to Michael Jackson, I am sharing with you the lyrics of my favourite MJ song.

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...

May he and Farrah rest in peace.

Senator Groovy

The Philippine senate is so bizaare.
Or maybe the senators themselves are weird.
They make the senate hearings very interesting.
Interestingly funny.

Take for instance the two artista senators, Sen. Bong Revilla and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada. Nawala na sa limelight after that video scandal hearing. Lalabas na naman yan kapag may another scandal na naman from showbiz.

Tapos itong si Sen. Manny Villar, wala na yatang ginawa for the past 12 months kundi maging busy sa pangangampanya. I haven’t heard him answering the accusations thrown against him. Palagi niyang sagot ay hindi raw niya ito sasagutin tutal the senate ethics committee handling his case has already decided na guilty siya. Even calling the said committee a ‘kangaroo court’.

Same goes with Sen. Mar Roxas, na busy rin sa kampanya at the same time busy rin sa lablayp, pero at least siya visible pa rin ang participation sa senate hearings.

Who else ba ang mga nasa senado?

Senator Lito Lapid?

Bakit, senador pa ba siya? Parang never ko pa siyang narinig ever ah!
Ay oo nga pala, he’s an active member of the senate’s Silent committee.
Bwahahaha!

Anyway, the latest senator that caught my attention is none other than the 48 million year old lawmaker, former defense minister Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.

Ano bang pinagkakaabalahan ni senator ngayon?
Well, he’s currently the fourth highest ranking public official ng ating bansa.
The Senate president.

Well, ganito kasi yun.

The third highest ranking public official is the Vice President, si Kabayan.

Agree?

I’m sure you do. Bwahahaha!

Anyway, back to the topic.

The senate is currently hearing the alleged overcharging of the telecom companies particularly Smart, Globe and Digitel to their subscribers. That the NTC cannot regulate the way these telecom companies are charging daw. Whatever. You get my point. Because God knows, I don’t. Nakiki-usyoso lang ako. Char!

In fairness, I think it’s time na talaga that these things should be addressed. Ang mas masakit pa, lalo na sa ating mga prepaid subscribers ay we don’t know why and how are we being charged. Yung may breakdown kumbaga sa ating expenses so that we can verify if what we paid is reasonable or over na.

I am both Smart and Globe prepaid subscriber.

Downloading ringtones from them is ridiculously expensive.

Even Sen. Enrile complained about this.

Char!

On a lighter note, may napansin ako sa senate hearing na medyo na-bother ako.

You know, PREPAID pala si Senator Enrile?
Bwahahaha!

I mean, hello? He’s a senator noh. Yung gwardiya nga namin eh naka-postpaid.
Charing!

Wala naman siguro masama dun ano, yun nga lang nagulat ako that a millionaire like him, a patriarch of the Enrile empire is using prepaid?
And don’t tell me spare phone lang yun at meron din siyang postpaid account. Kasi, lahat ng complains niya is about his prepaid account. Nothing about postpaid.
Prepaid!

Char lang.

Itong akin naman ay hearsay lang. Opinion. Haka-haka. Suspetsa. LOL.
Malay mo may postpaid account talaga si Senator. Nagpapaka-humble lang. Kunwari, he’s ‘One of Us’.

One of Us my ass. Bwahaha!

Eto pa ang na-observe ko okay senator.

He was complaining about ringtone downloads na hindi naman daw niya ginawa. He doesn’t even have a subscripition regarding regular ringtone downloads.

I can so totally relate.

According to Globe’s representative, the good senator downloaded 4 ringtones from his phone. Four times on the same day, hence the reason why his load was deducted P180 in just one day. That means P45 ang bawat isang ringtone.
See?

Enrile.

-Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby

-Taylor Swift’s Love Story

-Akon’s Smack That

And

-Wham’s Careless Whisper

Bwahahaha!

Hoy! Sinong maniniwala sa’yo? Si Senator kilala si Taylor Swift or Akon? At Careless Whisper, my gosh. Talk about tastelessness. LOL

If it would have been songs by Sinatra or perhaps The Platters, maybe the senator would not deny it and maniniwala ako sa kanya.

But hello? Nakakaloka ka mamang taga-Globe.

Isa kang malaking etchosera!

Tweak

And because I have nothing relevant to post, I decided to share with you a little trick in fashion.

Actually, this is an age-old technique but somehow got lost in the trend.

I’m sure marami kayong t-shirts diyan sa closet or aparador ninyo na hindi na nagagamit. Especially the oversized ones? Yung madalas pasalubong ng ating mga los parientes from abroad. Free sizes ang kadalasan na pinapadala nila ‘di ba kaya madalas rin it ends up to be a pambahay or pang-grocery or pang-normal days lang ito kung sinusuot.

Anyway, in times of crisis, we have to make the best of the resources available, right?

Like this t-shirt from a friend. Very normal-looking. Very basic.

It’s sized Small pero American size kaya medyo malaki pa rin. I want to wear it as it is pero mukha naman akong losyang.

See?

Losyang! Losyang! Losyang! Hahaha!

So how do you make the best out of it? Perhaps, making it fierce?

Well, what I did was I folded the sleeves twice and then I made a knot at the back of the shirt.

Tinaas ko rin ng bahagya ang hem so it would look like it’s a small tee.

Oh ‘di ba? Strike a pose! Hahaha!

With a little tweak and a little attitude, puwede nang magmukhang abnormal ang boring na shirt. Hindi pa halata na medyo buntis ako. Bwahaha!

P.S.
Bleh!

P.P.S.
Trick NOT applicable to straight men. For girls and gurls only. LOL

Floral Overload

I have this weird dream last night that I was taking pictures of random flowers from our garden back home.

I was using my cellphone’s camera feature (which has 2.0 megapixels) but I was so amazed (daw) that the actual photographs looked very professional.

I don’t know what that means.

I wasn’t thinking of flowers you know.

Sabi nila, sometimes you dream of something daw sa sobrang pag-iisip mo sa isang particular na bagay during the day kaya ang tendency is you get to dream about it daw.

Feel free to disagree though.

I’m no dream expert.

Speaking of flowers, for the past days, or maybe weeks, I’ve been watching Boys Over Flowers on dvd.

Saying that I’m loving it so much is an understatement.

If there’s any word in the English dictionary that I can use to express my super duper extreme love/obsession over this drama, yun na siguro yun. Tell me what word is the most appropriate to describe such feeling. Hahaha!

I could watch it 24/7.

Anyway, if there’s one thing that I would want to dream about is the boys of Boys Over Flowers.

Charing!

I have this fantasy of sleeping with them one by one. Bwahaha!

Unfortunately, I have yet to wait for that dream to come. Maybe tonight.

What a nightmare!

Oh siya, cut muna.

Naka-pause lang ang dvd eh.

Leader Of The Band

Bobby Goldsboro.

Nana Moskouri.

The Bee Gees.

Nat King Cole.

Tom Jones.

Sue Thompson.

Those are just a few names in music that my father introduced to us when we were growing up. He has a collection of old cassettes at home, he bought when he was working in the Middle East. The reason for my passionate love of music.

My father is not the typical one.
He doesn’t smoke. He doesn’t drink alcoholic beverages. I don’t know why, we, his children, turned out to be lasenggas. Lol

He never wears T-shirts or long-sleeved shirts.
He never wears denim.
He always wear button down short-sleeved shirts and slacks, preferably crisp and creased.
When he is at home, he is topless 50% of the entire day.

He loves to doodle on electronic/electrical/mechanical stuff and his old set of wheels.
He wakes up early, picks up the dustpan and walis tingting and sweeps the leaves that have fallen overnight from our backyard.
He hates garbage.

When we were younger, he never allows us to go on beach outings, thus we never learned to swim.
He loathes the beach, even until today.

Even before I went to school, I knew I was a bit different from the other boys but my father never told me to behave ‘appropriately’.
I hang out with my sisters more often than my brother.
I had my first Barbie in grade school.
Whenever I play dress up with it, my father never scolded me like other fathers may do when they find out their little boy is playing with dolls.
I had one gay friend from our neighborhood and he is always welcome to play with me at home.
My father has spanked me just once in my entire life using a walis tingting. It was the first and last time he hurt me physically, for a reason I could no longer remember.

His favourite sport is boxing. No, he doesn’t do that as a hobby, he just likes to watch boxing matches on tv.
I also love boxing and this is our way of bonding. Even if I would scream a lot, he doesn’t mind.
After the game, we would always share our views and comments. His, from a professional point of view, and mine from a clueless audience.

Whenever there’s a Miss Universe broadcast, he would never interrupt by changing the channel. Even during commercial breaks and replays. He knows how devoted I am to the pageant.

During the time when we were financially struggling, he sold his collection of mechanical devices and portable gadgets so that I could pay for my school’s tuition until I finished.

When I decided to lengthen my hair, he did not disapproved of it.
He told me not to get any piercing though.

The first time I wore a small feminine tee, his only reaction was, “your t-shirt is too small”. It was his way of disapproving my choice of wardrobe.
Eventually, he became lenient.
Once, he complimented me when I wore a white Kamiseta puff-sleeved blouse with pleating details in the front, “you look good and clean in white”. I was so overwhelmed I wore white all the time for three straight years.

The last time we attended a family reunion (his side), I was sporting a high ponytail and I wore the same white top and flared jeans.
My father and I went from table to table and introduced me to my uncles and aunts,

“Oh, eto na ang pamangkin niyo”, with a grin in his face.

I knew he was proud of me.

I have never said “I love you” to him in person. Too dyahe to say it but God knows how much I and my siblings love him.

I have hugged him just once but I’ve always wanted to hug him everytime I would leave home.

Maybe I’ll do it this Sunday, June 21st.

Happy Fathers’ Day Daddy.

Promises For Raggedy Ann

One, two, maybe three elections ago, I was happy to see a bunch of new faces entering our country’s political scene.

Promising individuals who seek the help of the younger generation, the Generations X, Y, and Z, to support their respective platforms of change in the government.

This new breed promised to give us a newer, better and perhaps radical take on the country’s political situation.

To freshen up the already rotten government leadership.

Fast forward to today.

Or, a much better question, where were those who made that promise?

Well, eto na sila ngayon.

Mar Roxas

Chiz Escudero

Adel Tamano

Miguel Zubiri

What happened?

Tito Mar, you said you were different. I liked you when you were in DTI. You remind me of Miriam when she was in her early years in politics. But then you decided to make padyak in your early campaign for the presidency, and that PI moment you did deserve a Razzie. You’re not so different from the usual trapos we see decades ago.

Kuya Chiz, you speak Tagalog so eloquently that I am so mesmerized and hypnotized by it. When you spoke in front of us I even shed a tear, sabi ko, “this is it, may boses na ang kabataan”. But now, all you are saying in front of the media is nothing but flowers in the midday. I still am waiting for your promises to be made into a reality.

Sir Adel, when you spoke in behalf of the Genuine Opposition I thought, you were far better than those you were campaigning. In fact, I even commented that you could be our next president. The very first from Mindanao. But what happened? Naging busy ka na defending Vicki Belo. Perhaps, "business as usual?"
So disappointing.

Migs, gorgeous Migs. Your Spice Boys days were your best. Talk about radical huh. You and the gang really shook the House of Representatives. You are both feared and admired by your colleagues. But that was before, now you turned out to be something else. Something non-living. Someone in the palace’s puppet.

Well, to the four of you, there’s still hope you know. May time pa. Roughly 10 months ‘til the next casting of ballots.

That is, kung meron mang eleksyon na magaganap.

Caught In The Middle

I’m not happy.

I’m also not sad.

I’m quite in the middle of the two.

Bestfriend KC is still in the hospital, the gurls and I are unable to visit him due to distance.
Edz in Manila, Unique in Bohol, and I dito sa bukid.

Anyway, medyo happy na rin ako kasi the diagnosis is just pneumonia. I was so paranoid at baka yung dreaded H1N1 chuva na ang nakuha niya. Thank God at hindi naman pala. So far, he is getting well and we are so thankful. On the other hand, sana icover ng insurance ang lahat ng expenses. Nakakaloka talaga itong health insurance system natin. Hello? Grrrr.

In behalf of my bestfriend, thanks for the wishes of wellness.

*****

This afternoon I heard that PGMA already signed the decree (?) para mataasan ang sweldo ng mga government workers.
Well, it’s about time noh!

Anyway, I’m not sure if this wage increase is the one na pinananawagan ng ating mga government employees but at least nataasan kahit konti.

Hihi.

****

I love Lucy Torres-Gomez. I watch her every afternoon in her show, Sweet Life with co-host Wilma Doesnt.

I think the show is a breath of fresh air. The show’s concept is similar to the ones we see on a morning time slot but their tandem is kinda odd yet in sync. Wilma is supposed to be the show’s comic but I can’t help but laugh at Lucy when she cracks a joke, most of the time without even knowing it.
Especially when she can’t express certain words in tagalog, she’ll say it in Cebuano which makes me burst into laughter all the time.

"You make kutaw kutaw (stir) the soup."
"Did you get any injury, napangos (bruise) ba kayo?"

She’s so effortless. Truly, she has found her niche.

****

I received an email this morning from a ‘royal’ friend from here in the blogosphere informing us of a certain incident in my other ‘home’ which resulted to a ‘change’ in its roster of writers brought about by a little ‘issue’.
It made me sad, really.
Just when you thought everything is going well with everybody and all of a sudden this happened because of a technical disagreement. Sigh. You just don’t know what’s gonna happen talaga. I just hope things will be okay so that we can continue with what was started.

That’s all.

Bestfriend

Akala mo super hero ka.

Hindi ka pala mutant.

Akala mo diyosa ka.

May sumpa din palang makakapagpahina sa iyo.

Akala mo unbreakable ka.

May weak point ka rin pala.

Akala mo unsinkable ka.

Ayan, natagpuan mo na ang iyong iceberg.

Akala mo hindi ka tao.

Tinatablan ka rin pala ng sakit.

My bestfriend KC is in the hospital due to high temperature.

Get well soon twin sister.

Pause muna sa work, gimik, lakwatsa at alak.
Ikaw kasi, abuso sa katawan.

Tandaan, sa panahon ngayon…..

“BAWAL MAGKASAKIT.”

P.S.
If you know KC and plans to visit 'her'. ‘She’ prefers chocolates than fruits and flowers.

Speak No Evil

Where were you last night?

“Oh, I wasn’t out last night. I was just at home watching reruns of Gossip Girl.”

Talaga lang ha.

When I checked my Facebook, I was surprised to see her status saying,

“[put name here] is so sleepy, just got home from last night’s partying with [put other friends name here].”

Lying is an abstract concept. Except that some people knows how to make it work to their own advantage.

Charing!

If you lie to your super duper closest friends, it’s the same thing as lying to an acquaintance. Yun nga lang, the damage is more bigger dun sa former.

Lahat naman tayo nagsisinungaling eh. Kung hindi ka man nakapagsinungaling over the last, let’s say, week, malamang puwede ka nang kapalit ni Mother Teresa para maging living saint.

My point is this. If you make a lie make sure kapag nalaman ito ng pinagsinungalingan mo ay meron ka nang magiging depensa. For instance, yung incident sa taas. If I found out you were lying where were you the night before, what would be the answer.

“Yeah, we went out, sinundo kasi nila ako dito sa bahay, nandun silang lahat eh, kaya nagpaalam na lang ako kay Nanay, buti na lang at pumayag kahit late na. I thought of inviting you but I know you slept early, baka maistorbo ko pa ang beauty rest mo.”

Oh di ba. Pasok sa banga. Ikaw pa ang na-guilty. Hahaha!

Unfortunately, my friend didn’t thought of that.

Just keep it to yourself, okay?

A lie is a lie. Kung less damaging man ito, it doesn't matter. It’s the same thing pa rin dahil nagsinungaling ka.

Kung nasa sitwasyon man kayo na nabuking kayo sa pagiging etchosera niyo, don't forget to say Sorry.

And mean it. Huwag plastic. Non-biodegradable ito.

Pero you know what,

what if in the first place,

if you just tell the truth noh?

I’m sure mas okay yun.

A Taste Of Pestilence

It’s been a while since my last entry about my animal farm series noh?

Well, if you haven’t been paying attention or you are new here, it all started with this, followed by this, and the latest was this.

Much difficult ang finding the ‘right’ celebrities to ‘represent’ them. Hahaha!

So here it is.

Enjoy!

This is Keira Knightley.

Award winning actress. Famous for her role in Pirates of the Caribbean series.

This is Emily Blunt.

Also known as Emily from The Devil Wears Prada.

This is Adam Lambert.

American Idol Season 8 runner up.

This is Katy Perry.

The girl who “kissed a girl” but she liked it.

These are the Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley.

The world’s richest celebrity twins. Happy Birthday to them, they are now 23 years old.

This is the lovable Ellen DeGeneres.

Emmy multi-winner. Other half of Portia De Rossi.

And this is Procyon lotor.

Also known as the common raccoon.

That’s all.

As a bonus, here's a lovely picture of Ellen and the raccoon from their American Express ad.

Ang cute!
Huwag lang mangagat. Hahaha!

Indie

Once again, we are celebrating Independence Day.

Forget Bill Pullman and Will Smith. Hindi na ito battle against aliens. This is our own real battle.

How many years have we been celebrating Independence Day. 111 years right?

Since that fateful day when Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo waved the Philippine flag from his balcony in Kawit, Cavite, idineklara na rin niya ang June 12 bilang taunang celebration of Philippine Independence.

Maybe he thought, sa wakas, we are an independent republic. No more foreign rulers, no more pakikialam from outsiders. This is our very own.

Or so he thought.

After the Spaniards, sinakop din tayo ng mga Japanese and Americans.

Fast forward to today.

[cue Jerry Springer from Miss Universe]

How do you define independence?

Siyempre, as a certified Thank You Girl, ito ang sagot ko.

“Thank you for that very wonderful question. I believe that independence is a noun pertaining to being independent. Being independent does not mean standing alone. It means you are able to survive on your own by utilizing the resources available within your reach. In general, you do not need to depend on these entities to be able to survive but you have to have the ability to convert them into materials to use for your own advantage.”

Bwahahaha! Talo na naman.

Anyway, back to the topic.

Is there a reason for us to celebrate Independence Day?

Of course there is.

Despite all the pressure from the outside world as well as internal threats to freedom our country has encountered, guess what, we are still here.
We are still able to fight these negativity.

Corruption, calamities, disease, terrorism, they are all challenges in moulding us to be in better shape. Wala naman exempted pagdating dito. Kailangan lang harapin.

Yes, there are also occasional pakikialam ng other countries, especially the US, but of course, that’s part of the plan.

The Philippines has come a long way since 1898.

We have no time to surrender.

There are more positive things that we can concentrate on to further develop not only ourselves but also in contributing to our country’s wellness.

The current issues haunting us, well, let’s do our part in defending our rights and our freedom. This is a moral issue. They may be in power but the people is more powerful. We’ve done it before, we can still do it now.

You may think yours is just a small voice but a small voice altogether can make perfect harmony.

I think I know what to do.

[cue Stanley Tucci from The Devil Wears Prada]

“Do you?”

Personal:

P.S. Happy Birthday to my dear friend Potpot. May you have more happy birthdays and wishing you all the happiness in the world.

Mwaaah!

Oh Lindsay

I love Lindsay Lohan.

Ay! Tunog tomboy noh? Hahaha!

She’s a very talented actress.

I loved her in Parent Trap.
I loved her in Freaky Friday.
I loved her in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
I loved her in Just My Luck.
I loved her in Georgia Rule.
I loved her in Bobby.

I worshipped her in Mean Girls.

Obvious ba na favourite ko siya? Hahaha!

Yeah.

Lindsay has got a lot of talent. Those box office hits and critically-acclaimed (?) records are proof of that.

The problem is her bad choices in life.
Bad people surrounding her as well as the media. Give her a break.

Yes, I don’t blame her for what she’s doing. Kasalanan ito lahat ng society. For dictating her what to project and what people want.

Charing!

Anyway, Lindsay is now being tapped by French fashion house Ungaro to be their design ‘consultant’, prompting designer Esteban Cortazar to resign as head designer of the said fashion house. Cortazar was appointed in 2007.

Well, well, well…

Hahaha!

May future pa naman siya eh. He’s still very young. Ang alam ko, he started showing at New York Fashion Week when he was still a fetus. Charing! I think 19 yata or 20.

Back to Lindsay, if this design consultancy thing is true,

I wonder what would the designs look like?

Good luck na lang sa Ungaro.

Quickie

Just a quick post.

It’s been a tough week so far.

So many depressing things around our beloved country.

I want to be hopeful but it seems hopelessness is taking over.

The House of Representatives has betrayed us last Tuesday when they passed House Bill 1109.

I know you’ve heard about it.

That Constituent Assembly that they are trying to push through is genuinely unconstitutional.

I just hope the Supreme Court will eventually throw it in the bin.

On a lighter note, have you heard of Barrio Siete?

Well, kung hindi pa, it’s the next big blog superstar. And yours truly is a contributing writer.

I hope you too can be a part of Barrio Siete.

Let us keep social climbing alive!

Role Crashing

I have not read a good material for a very long time.

Kinda disappointed with myself.

My last two reads were both about fashion. Nina Garcia’s Little Black Book of Style and Angela Buttolph’s Kate Moss Style.

Ang babaw noh? Hahaha!

Madali kasi akong ma-bore. It’s hard for me to find the right material.

When I started reading Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina napagod ako sa first chapter pa lang. When I read Dan Brown’s Deception Point, nakatulog ako. And that’s a bad sign. Hahaha!

Anyway, the last book that got me into reading again was quite surprising actually.

“Roles” by Carlos ‘Siege’ Malvar was a fun read.

It talks about the lives of not so common students with diversed backgrounds. Think Gossip Girl season 1, but in a Philippine setting and with characters darker than what you might think students would normally behave now.

Each ‘student’ has a story to tell.

Secrets kept, waiting to be revealed. Secrets that are so surprising it may actually destroy them.

Yes, I encourage you to get a copy and explore and enjoy the drama, desperation and manipulation you won’t expect to find in a high school so perfect, yet so destructive.

And if you can’t get enough of “Roles”, wait ‘til you see what’s coming up from Siege.

No, this won’t Crash and burn.

It’s the sequel to “Roles”.

It’s so good, I can’t wait to have it na!

Ba’t ko alam? Siyempre I got to read the preview noh!

And based from what I read, well let’s just say someone from “Roles” will evolve.
Someone gets to be the evil incarnate but with a heart.
Someone evil will have a heart.

More manipulation, more revelations.

If you're a fan of GG, Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass will tremble.
