British fashion icon and avante garde super designer Alexander McQueen was found dead today.
According to the news from the Daily Mail, he committed suicide (by hanging) just days after the death of his mother.
Sigh.
This is so sad.
Another genius has left us too early. My designer bestfriend Tzardy cried upon hearing the news. McQueen was always his inspiration.
Alexander McQueen was dubbed as fashion’s Bad Boy, he was named head designer at the House of Givenchy in 1996 until 2001. He was awarded British Designer of the Year four times between 1996 and 2003 by the British Fashion Council.
Damn. I only own 1 piece of Alexander McQueen and it’s a belt which I bought on sale at oki-ni last year. I’m sure prices for McQueen pieces now will be skyrocketing.
RIP Alexander McQueen.
