For less than 24 hours.
My sister is going back to the Middle East today and I cried (a little) because I’m definitely going to miss her. To ease the pain, umalis ako sa bahay ng maaga pabalik dito sa bukid so I won’t be there when she leaves.
Isang taon na naman ang bibilangin namin bago kami magkita ulet.
My niece Zoe (her daughter) is sad. I can see it in her eyes.
Anyway, wala din naman kami magagawa. My sister needs to work so that she can support her daughter and give her a better future. Whatever that means.
I blame our country for my niece’s pain.
