When I decided to abruptly change my diet, akala ko hindi ko kakayanin but surprisingly, kaya ko pala. In fact, I have no cravings whatsoever of my favourite pork or chicken barbecue. Even the irresistible smell of bistek tagalog did not tempt me.
Until yesterday.

I realised it’s fiesta season dito sa bukid. Like Bohol during the month of May, araw-araw na rin may fiesta dito sa amin until the end of October.
Every year, I don’t miss invading the tables of our customers. Lechon, humba, mechado, adobo, afritada, dinuguan, suman, you name it, they have it here. Walang patawad.
Sadly, this year (or the next years to come) I’m going to miss everything.
Konting sakripisyo muna for the sake of beauty and wellness.
Am I regretting my earlier decision? Of course I do. Sayang din naman ang pagkaing libre noh. Hahaha! I look forward to this time of the year kasi feeling ko walang krisis sa Pilipinas dahil umaapaw ng pagkain dito sa bukid. Mabuti na lang at natitiis ko pa naman ang hindi pagkain ng karne. Sabi nga nila, I'd rather go naked than wear fur. Charing!
I'd rather die than eat meat.
Yan ang bagong motto ko.
Oh well. That’s life. You just can’t have it all.
Sana sa susunod na taon may buffet table na rin for pescatarians and vegans.
Char!
